EJB topics discussed in this session include:
- .war packaging of components
- A "no interface" local EJB component view
- Portable global Java Naming and Directory Interface API names
- EJB "Lite" technology
- Standardized unit testing support
- Singleton beans
- Startup/shutdown callbacks
- Asynchronous session bean invocations
- Automatic timer creation and calendar-based scheduling
