Session Abstract: |
The Java Persistence API has proven to be one of the most exciting of the technologies recently added to Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE). In response to requests from the community, it has been expanded in release 2.0 to include several key new features. This session provides an up-to-the-minute presentation of the new features available in Java Persistence 2.0, scheduled to be released later this month. The session starts with a brief overview of the object-relational mapping and modeling additions and then focuses on additions to the query language facilities, the new metamodel and criteria APIs, pessimistic locking, support for validation, and caching and other configuration options.
