Putting It Together: SaaS/Hosted/In-House Deployments That Make Business Sense
Session Abstract:
Is there a software selection and delivery model that is right for every customer or function? Choosing software as a service (SaaS), in-house, or hosting and application management is mostly a matter of timing and objectives. SaaS solutions that work AND can be tried without long-term commitment are ideal for new requirements. Over time, though, any SaaS offering must be compared with a licensed application that can be moved in house or be hosted. The critical questions: can the business process flex to fit the software, and does the system architecture enable easy integration? In this case study, one customer selected Oracle E-Business Suite On Demand, which is helping pull it all together for business growth and global expansion.
